Hey everyone.  KK here.  Just wanted to let all of you know what’s been going on with our beloved Destiny Islands (since I know you’re all probably wondering).  Ace and I have been hard at work coding and designing the site and recently, I finished recording a playthrough for Chain of Memories.  Editing is still necessary, but when it’s done, we will have successfully recorded playthroughs for Kingdom Hearts and Chain of Memories, which I’m quite proud of myself, considering how many hours and Vanilla Cokes went into recording them.

Anyway, we hope to Destiny Islands up and running as soon as possible.  Ace and I are taking full advantage of our winter breaks from school to get as much done as we can.  Thank you for all of your support and especially for your patience.

So here at DI, we are constantly busy at work figuring out what we want to do with Destiny Islands. We’ve got big plans for us ahead, and we know all of our members will support us 100%. We are currently working on some new designs, mostly done in the process of coding and we should have them up fairly soon.

Anywho, to the main point of this blog post. We’re looking for any and all advice from our fellow KH lovers! If you have websites that you like the design of, certain icons or logos or navigation’s you like and would like to see on Destiny Islands - share them with us! We’re asking you guys to post up some links to this blog post to some of your favorite websites for design. We are looking for tons of inspiration for DI, so share your links with the most creative and easy-to-use websites with us!

It has come to my attention that recently the DI blogs have been hit with a large load of spam, and it has been a really annoying battle fighting against it. However, fellow member and Destiny Islands lover Keblade Legacy has pointed out how to disable the “anonymous comments” feature. I haven’t found another way around this, and this only takes a second once you log into your account and should work for all of your future blog posts:

- Log into Destiny Islands
- Go to My Apps -> Blog
- Click the “edit” link for any blog entry
- Scroll to the bottom and select “Show Entry Settings”
- Look for Who can comment on this entry? and choose “Registered Users”.

Violia! That’s all there is to it, and all of your future blog posts should hold this true as well. Fighting spam is never easy, and with DI going through so many changes now it’s hard to combat everything, but we thank you guys for hanging in there with us through these times. Happy blogging!

Destiny Islands has launched a successful Social networking site called Destiny Islands Community. If you are interested in checking it out, you can click here.. It has photo galleries, user blogs, profiles, comments, private messages, and a whole lot more! It’s like Facebook for Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, and Square-Enix enthusiasts.

It’s 100% free to register an account, and I highly recommend checking it out even if you’re just a little bit interested. More news to follow!

As kingdomkid and I have been working rigorously to prepare our Kingdom Hearts Playthrough, we have been completing world after world to get things all ready and set. If any of you had tried to go to the Kingdom Hearts playthrough page we just posted up, you may have noticed the videos were not playing… Unfortunately that was a problem on my part, I was pointing to the wrong place to look for the videos! However it is fixed now, and all of the videos are in the right location. So if you haven’t checked it out yet, be sure to go to our Kingdom Hearts playthrough page, and keep up-to-date as we guide you through the wondrous land of Kingdom Hearts!

I know we have been promising that we start our playthroughs at some point, and here we are! To view them, just click here. We have posted the first 6 chapters of the Kingdom Hearts Playthrough, including the following:

Started only a few days ago, kk and I have started the Kingdom Hearts playthrough, and have made it a pretty decent distance. We finished through the opening, Destiny Islands, Traverse Town, Wonderland, Deep Jungle, Olympus Coliseum, Traverse Town (again), Agrabah, and Monstro. We just need to rip all of the videos off of the DVD’s we recorded them on, shrink the size and optimize them for the web, and hopefully we can get these movies up and running soon! I know it has been a while since we’ve updating things on the site, but the playthroughs are well under way to being finished.

Along with posting the videos on Destiny Islands, we will also have them split up and posted on Youtube to help share the videos around the net faster.
