Kingdom Hearts 3DS was introduced by Nintendo to Square-Enix. It seems that they wanted to bring Kingdom Hearts to the 3DS. This is what Nomura had to say about the game.

Nomura: “Nintendo came to us in regards to making a Kingdom Hearts game for the 3DS. One thing I will say about Kingdom Hearts 3D is that it takes place in the same time as the current games.”

- Re:Coded is being developed to allow more fans to experience the game
- the DS was selected as most people have the ..hardware, and due to lack of analog
- The story will be the same as Coded, but ..aside from event scenes, the game will see ..many major changes
- targeting more casual gamers

- design concept: Coded+358Days+BbS
- battle planning being supervised by Birth by Sleep co-director
- same team will be handling the map design
- level-up system is an expansion of the one found in 358/2 Days
- multiplayer elements feature avatars from BbS, and Lightning from FFXIII

- Currently 80% complete

KH 3DS

- brand-new game
- next stage of the franchise after ..Coded/358/BbS.
- Sora and Riku will be the playable characters ..in the game
- the pair will be visiting new worlds
- multiple hints in Re:Coded relating to 3DS
- expect more info at next year’s E3 (neogaf)

Yet again more minor news of these two upcoming games. Here is a scan showing a little gameplay and the platform of Re:Coded. Below is an interview with Tetsuya Normura during the recent E3 Expo revealing the composer for Kingdom Hearts 3D.

OSV: Do you involve yourself heavily in the audio direction of your games, or do you give the composer more free reign to compose?
