Fresh off the heels of Re:CoM’s official announcement for North American audiences, comes a bit of casting news. Quinton Flynn, who voiced Axel in Kingdom Hearts II had this to say when asked if Square-Enix has asked him to come back and re-voice Axel for Re:CoM.
Whether or not this slight teasing can be seen as an official confirmation is yet to be seen, but I think it goes without saying that the chances of Quinton’s return, is extremely likely. We hope you stick with Destiny Islands as more news develops. |

The Square Enix Official Tokyo Game Show 2008 website updated with a page for Kingdom Hearts Mobile, the cellphone feature that comes with Kingdom Hearts Coded. This new feature has the same name as a previous cellphone game that surrounded the story of the first Kingdom Hearts back in 2005, but it’s completely unrelated to that game. This one is mainly cellphone features like ringtones and wallpapers, with added mini-games as a bonus. It is currently a Japan only feature as well, but who knows what will happen if Coded is ported to North America. Here’s the information posted on the site:Â

Final Fantasy IV: The After possibly translated?
Square’s Takashi Tokita says that Final Fantasy 4: The After may actually be localized for a Western release!
Questioned about the possibility of more Final Fantasy 4 remakes, Tokita (producer/director of the DS remake) replied:
We just remade it, so it’s a bit of a stretch… Currently the sequel, Final Fantasy 4: The After, is available for mobile phones in Japan. We’ll do our best to make this game available for our overseas audiences as well!
As to how this would work on Western mobiles is unknown, but its graphics aren’t too advanced, so here’s hoping it’s possible!
We’ll keep you updated.

KH: RE//CoM Confirmed for the U.S.
It’s official everyone! We have box art and everything. The remake of everyone’s favorite Gameboy Advance game, Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, is officially being released stateside! RE//Chain of Memories is set to be released in the U.S. on December 2, 2008 for a retail price of $29.99. It includes both Sora’s and Riku’s story modes, and everything we know and love from the original. The game also boasts full English Voice Acting (there’s a good chance that like the Japanese Version, the voice acting will only be for scenes taking place in the castle itself, while cutscenes from the various worlds will remain in text boxes), four new mini-games, and a completely remastered orchestral soundtrack, which I can only imagine will be available for sale shortly after the game is released. I for one am personally excited, and I pretty much know what’ll be on all of our Christmas Lists this year.
KK Out.

Updated:New Dissidia scan features FFIV’s Cecil and Golbez
The four page spread has surfaced in high quality, enjoy!

Gaming website 1UP.com has translated the Weekly Famitsu issue, and posted some new information:
- Dissidia is being released at the same date the original Final Fantasy was released 21 years ago.
- Cecil’s Paladin/Dark Knight forms both have their advantages. As a Dark Knight Cecil will be slower, but more powerful in ground fights, and as a Paladin Cecil will be faster in aerial fights.
- Dissidia is not just a regular fighter, it’s an RPG of sorts. The game is divided into stages, each on its own checkerboard-like map. The main character moves around like a pawn, picking up equipment and potions on the map and fighting whenever you stop adjacent to an enemy pawn. In order to move on the map we’ll need “Destiny Points” - think of them as action points. DP is earned by defeating non-boss enemies, and the more DP you have at the end of a stage, the more bonus stuff you’ll get. Stage bosses are usually on the other side of the map.
